The love story of Alain and Irina began just a few weeks before the war, when none of us wanted to believe that our world was about to change forever.

When Alain registered with the agency, he carefully selected several women and exchanged letters with them for some time. The communication was going well, but it was time to take the next step, because meeting in person changes everything. In February 2022, Alain took a plane and landed in Kharkiv, Ukraine. He stayed there for a week and met every woman he had been corresponding with.

All the women were kind, intelligent, and pleasant, but Irina stood out immediately. When you meet someone special, you can always feel it. That is exactly what happened with Alain and Irina.

They met on February 1, 2022. Three years later, on February 1, 2025, they got married. But before their wedding, they went through tragic events. When the war started, Irina had to flee from shelling and bombing in Kharkiv. Alain did not leave her alone. He drove to the Polish border to pick her up and brought her to his home in France.

Irina thought she was leaving Ukraine only for a couple of weeks until the situation stabilized, but she ended up staying with Alain for two years. During this time, they built a strong relationship, and their bond grew stronger every day.

Alain says he thanks God that he came to Ukraine at the right time and met Irina. He is grateful that Irina is now by his side.

Alain wanted to make his proposal in a special and romantic way. He took Irina to Paris the city of love and proposed to her near the Eiffel Tower.

Alain and Irina are a perfect example of why we should not postpone life until tomorrow. The perfect time is always now.
